PB-1, PB-2 - fuse disconnectors
Application:
Fuse switch disconnector with fuse insert is used to protect against the effects of short circuits in transformers, capacitor banks, cable branches and outdoor lines. The device is designed to work with fuse links in the voltage range from 3,6 up to 12 kV and short-circuit currents from 6 up to 630 A. The main task is to protect distribution devices from the effects of dynamic and thermal effects of large short-circuit currents by limiting their peak value and interrupting the current in a few milliseconds.
Advantages:
- simple design
- small size
- easy to mount
- ability to use typical fuse-links
Construction and operation:
The switch disconnectors are made of an insulating plastic plate to which contact holders fastening the fuse insert are attached. The contact holder consists of three elements: a pressure spring, a contact spring and a connection. It is possible to make a base on epoxy resin insulators.
