UP 500 - thyristor surge protection system
Application:
UP 500 is connected in parallel with the terminals of the protected gland. When the terminal voltage exceeds 5000 V, the system activates a device that discharges the energy stored in the magnetic field of the gland.
Structure:
Thyristor surge protection system UP 500 is built of an electronic system releasing BUZ and connected in series: thyristor power, set of LEDs and the damping resistor.
